Configurations

Artisan Series doors are available in 2/8, 2/10, 3/0, and 3/6 widths–as noted in design specifications for each product–with 2x4 (4 9/16"), 2x6 (6 9/16"), 2x8 (8 9/16") jamb construction, left hand or right hand application, and inswing or outswing.

Finished Frame Widths

Door dimensions are based on a 14" height rectangular transom and a 12" or 14" sidelite.

  • 6/8 Inswing – Finished Frame Height:  82"
  • 6/8 Outswing – Finished Frame Height:  81"
  • 8/0 Inswing – Finished Frame Height:  98"
  • 8/0 Outswing – Finished Frame Height:  97"

Rough Opening Measurements

To calculate rough opening, add 1" to width and add 1/2" to height of net frame.

Rough Opening Measurements to Include Transom

For all transoms, add 15 3/4" to height of net frame. For decorative transoms, add 3/4" to width of net frame.

OSM Brickmould

To calculate the outside measurement of the brickmould, add 2 1/2" to width and 1 1/4" to height of net frame.

Steel Doors

Madero's collection of high definition steel door systems provides you with the perfect choice to suit your needs, from general use to high-end quality and appearance. Our steel door systems feature high definition embossing with paintable primed or prefinished polytex white surfaces and the strength of internal wood blocking for a variety of hardware options. 

Fiberglass Door

Smooth white pre-pigmented and woodgrain textured fiberglass doors are specifically designed to withstand the harsh Canadian climate. High definition impact-resistant fiberglass skins will not dent, expand, contract, bow, warp or twist and rigid internal structure of the door slab prevents the occurence of bowing and warping.

Weather-Tight Solution

Finishing

Steel doors are supplied with either primed or factory white polytex finish, dependent on the product. Though painting may not be required to achieve full warranty, doors can be easily finished to match the style of your home.

Smooth white fiberglass doors are supplied in their natural pre-pigmented warm white finish. Though painting is not required, these doors will accept an array of paint colours to match the decor of your home.

Woodgrain fiberglass doors are supplied with factory almond finish, requiring paint or stain to achieve a realistic, rich appearance. Pre-finished stain options are available.

For dark coloured finishes, heat reflective paint is required to achieve a full warranty.

Glass Frame Options

Traditional Profile Insert

The most widely used design for door glass has been a traditional screw-in glass insert. Usually the lowest cost option, these frames provide excellent insulation and require little or no maintenance. Traditional profile frames do not require finishing, but can be painted to match your door colour.

Contemporary Profile Insert

With its clean profile, this frame is the ideal choice for the modern look door with multiple cut-outs, such as the 3 lite or narrow lite. The profile brings the focus on your door glass selection. The frame can be painted or stained.

Modern Profile Inserts - Spotlites

Door slab is cut out in manufacturing to accept modern profile spotlite inserts. Spotlite door glass frames are constructed in high performance Fibermate® moulded and textured, that work equally well for painting or staining. The textured grain is reminiscent of classic mid-century maple and birch furniture.

Flush Glazed Fiberglass Door Designs

Flush glazed fiberglass slabs provide sleek lines to give the perception of a more enhanced viewing area. The smooth grain pre-pigmented white or oak woodgrain slab is consistent from door edge to glass. The slab is manufactured as a one piece open and beaded mould with glass installed during the assembly process.

Direct Glazed Sidelites and Transoms

Consistent with the modern appeal of the flush glazed door design, direct glaze sidelites and transoms provide full unobscured glass coverage. Glass extends edge to edge, with no need for a sidelite door panel, allowing sunlight in to brighten your entryway.

Hardware Options

Hardware is not an afterthought, but an important design decision. Once you have chosen your door style, it is the time to give thought to what you will use for door hardware.

Choose your hardware from any selection of brands or styles. Please specify at the time of ordering: single drill (ideal for single lever or knob style hardware), double drill (ideal for handlesets, lever or knob with deadbolt), modern pull with deadbolt, or multipoint hardware for single door option.

Hinge Options

Door hinges look their best when matched to the locksets and glass caming you plan to use. Madero's standard hinge finish is C-2G Zinc Plated, though we will change the finish based on the hardware or glass that you've chosen.

Artisan Series door systems feature 4" x 4" ball bearing hinges, available in 5 finishes:  C-2G Zinc Plated (standard hinge finish), C-4 Brushed Brass, C-10B Oil Rubbed Bronze, C-26D Brushed Chrome, and C-1D Matte Black.
